Pure Text
If you cut / copy from a source like word, web pages or other programs - formatting code from the source is copied to the clipboard, when pasting into the web editor it also pastes the source formatting code which may not work on your web page. PureText removes the offending code formatting from text before you paste it into the web editor. This includes the font face, font style (bold, italics, etc.), font colour, paragraph styles (left/right/centre aligned), margins, character spacing, bullets, subscript, superscript, tables, charts, pictures, embedded objects, etc. However, it does not modify the actual text. It will not remove or fix new-lines, carriage returns, tabs, or other white-space. (PC only - for Mac use Plain Clip)

Plain Clip
Plain Clip is a tiny Mac OS X application which will remove formatting from text which is on the clipboard. It's designed as a faceless application (i.e.: no graphical user interface), which makes it ideal for triggering it from a hotkey / launcher application such as “Spark”, “iKey”, “LaunchBar”, “QuickSilver” or “Butler”. For users of such tools, Plain Clip offers a way to invoke it with a shell command, which makes it possible to emulate a “Cmd-V” / “Paste” keyboard shortcut after the clipboard’s content has been converted. (Mac only - for PC's use Pure Text)
